Compiling problem

I just installed the 2.0.29 kernel, updated everything that i read should
be updated. And for some reason among some other compiling problems i get
something like this while trying to compile my kernel and some other
program which i don't recall the name right now.

stdin:1 numeric constant with no digits
stdin:1 invalid #line

and so on....
what is that!? how do i fix it!? thanks..
