I also seem to have this problem. Here's my description:
mounted CD with "mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt"
"cd /mnt"
"ls /mnt"
(directory listed fine)
I pushed the eject button on the CD device at this point, but it did
not eject. Thinking that perhaps this was because I had not umounted,
I typed
"cd"
but nothing happened. My system was locked.
My hardware:
Sony CDU33a connected to Sound Blaster 16
(0x230,0)
Generic motherboard, Pentium 60, 16MB RAM
My software:
Kernel 2.1.26
kerneld, with isofs and cdu31a as modules.
