Lacota's drives were originally built with an NCR 53c815 (v3 ROM) and is
now running an Adpatec 2940U. (Yes, fdisk goes nuts with the translations.
Why do PC's have to be so anti-social... just report the drives geometry
like a good little scsi device.)
I'm surprised this got in the syslog! The machine had a load average of
7.6+ the last time it said anything to me. I was gunzipping about 300M of
logs from a local drive and sending it through several awk scripts to output
of which was to be mailed to me. [Translation: a considerable string of
I/O commands.]
