AMD DX4-100 users: please test performance under 2.1.19/20

I am getting ca. 1/2 to 1/3 the normal memory I/O performance (causing
pretty much everything to be very slow) on a 486-optimized 2.1.19 kernel.
The system is an older ASUS PCI + VLB motherboard with an AMD DX4-100 CPU
and 512 KB of secondary cache. Memory is 4 70-pin FPM 70 ns SIMMs being
run (successfully) at 60 nsec (no, changing this or other CMOS settings
does not help).

Performance is normal on this system under a pentium-optimized 2.1.7 kernel
and a 486-optimized 2.0.25, the only two I had lying around just now.

Performance is also normal under 486-optimized 2.1.19 on an Intel DX2-66,
so this is a bit puzzling. Could anyone running recent kernels on AMD
DX4-100 processors please check their performance and let me know?

I can probably pin this down much better myself, but I don't know if I'll
have time to do this in a timely manner.
