I haven't seen any one post about this yet, so I'll see what those that
know more about linux then I have to say about this.

Running 2.1.18 I noticed a strang occurance when I ran free on my RedHat
4.0 box. I had more swap space then I had ever configured. I have my swap
partition set up for 32 meg, which should yeild about 33772k of swap
space. Yet today I had 40520k of swap. Turning the swap partion off,
then back on had no effect (and when it was off I had 0 swap indication
now swipe file in my filesystem). I finally turned it off, mkswaped it,
and then turned it back on and all was well. No error messages from the
kernel, and no recent opps or crashes?

Any one else seen such a problem?

Hardware:
Pentuim 133, 48 Meg of ram, NCR 53c810 SCSI controller, and the swap and
root partions are on a space are on a quantum fireball 1080s.
