Weird problems with ne2000 clone

I have 16bit ISA ne2000 clone with WinBond chipset.
Generally it works as it should, but sometimes,
when it is hevily loaded (large samba/nfs transfers),
it hangs - no panic, no log entry, nothing. Kernel
just freezes up :-( This has happened many
times since our network traffic grown with new
10M bridge to internet. I am now going to buy
new PCI based clone-card (to get work done), but
I suspect that some others might have same problem.
My machine is P90 (with fdiv bug) on Intel Plato,
RZ1000 controlled ATA-drives, 48M memory and
I have had this problem with 2.0.0, 2.0.20-2.0.27.
Bug is hard to track, becourse it occurs very randomly:
my server (with 2.0.27 this time) had 10 days uptime,
but today it hanged twice in just 15 minutes...
