I recently upgraded my memory from 16 to 32 megs (4*8 meg 32-bit 70ns
SIMM). First neither DOS nor Linux seemed to recognize the extra memory
until I realized that under DOS it was QEMM's fault - without QEMM
everything worked fine.
But, under Linux, nothing seems to work. If I use a boot parameter
'mem=32M', the memory _is_ found, but after ~10 minutes the system
crashes. What's wrong - I suppose it has something to do with the kernel
parameters?
Oh yes, and my motherboard is an Intel Endeavour, if that helps.
