/sbin/route add -net 127.0.0.0
produces
route forgot to specify route netmask.
SIOCADDRT: Invalid argument
Just for grins, I try
/sbin/route add -net 127.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0
and get
SIOCADDRT: No such device
So I try
/sbin/route add -net 127.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0 dev lo
and get no complaints, but none of "netstat -rn", "route", or
"cat /proc/net/route" say that a route was actually added.
IPv6 is *not* configured in my 2.1.X kernels.
Back to 2.1.14 until I figure out what's going on here...
