I just bought a laptop, so now I'm putting apm into the kernel.
But when I run the same kernel on non-apm machines, I get on the console
apm_bios: set display standby: Unable to enter requested state
apm_bios: set display ready: Unable to enter requested state
apm_bios: set display standby: Unable to enter requested state
apm_bios: set display ready: Unable to enter requested state
Also, how to I more finely control APM at runtime...one thing I see
is processor speed setting (from windows on a toshiba 205CDS laptop).
How can I change this from linux?
When I close the laptop, the default behavior is to suspend.
Can I override this (if I'm hooked up to the ethernet and doing
remote logins to the laptop)? (especially if its plugged in).
