This is an honest question with no sarcasm at all. Is 2.7.2.1 exactly the
same as 2.7.2, except that the code for the strength reduction
optimization is bypassed? I haven't compared the source trees, since I'm
sitting on a 14.4k connection, but I've been wondering.
