Then I reset the machine. During these problems it complained about
process table full, a few minutes later it spawned 250 crond:s, complained
about not being able to load ld.so.cache.
My system has been rock solid the past months with frequent updates of the
kernel. This is my first problem like this.
I am running a perverted slackware 2.2, gcc 2.7.0 and the libc and so on
that came with that distribution (5.0.9).
