There was a 1.2.13lmp kernel tree (and still is although its not really
got so many hosts running it now). These are people many of them ISP's
who wanted a 1.2.13 with the serious bugs found over the time beyond
fixed.

So we do have the people to do a 2.0.2x maintaining if/when Linus gets
bored of it
