2.1.4 fails to compile

I patched my 2.1.13 source tree to 2.1.14 using the patch-2.1.14 from
Funet. I then got nailed with a slew of compile errors.

The first occured in net/core, where I got this:

make[3]: *** No rule to make target `net_alias.h', needed by
`net_alias.o'. Stop.

I nuked the source tree, installed a 2.1.7 tree, and applied patches up to
2.1.14. Then I got nailed by a lack of des.c. So I installed des.c using
the "crypto-2.0.11" patch.

I started compiling again, and got this:

gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2
-fomit-frame-pointer -fno-strength-reduce -pipe -m486 -malign-loops=2
-malign-jumps=2 -malign-functions=2 -DCPU=586 -c -o sb_card.o sb_card.c
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `smw-midi0001.h', needed by
`sb_common.o'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.1.14/drivers/sound'

Is my compiler completely borked or something? 2.1.13 compiled perfectly
fine.
