Recently I started using smbd on my linux box. I got these warnings in
log.smb and in syslog:
Warning: You appear to have a trapdoor uid system
Warning: You appear to have a trapdoor gid system
From 'man smbd' I learned, that the program was unable to change its uid
to root and back.
Is this a (local) misconfiguration (and what should I do to correct it)
or just a Linux property (and why do we have it so)?
Thanks,
Ulf
