I can't say for certen, but I think it's a fairly rescent thing (ie
mid to late 1.3.xx), so I'd upgrade to 2.0(.25 so far).
I know it will involve lots of upgrades (see linux/Documentation/Changes
in the 2.0.xx tree), and posabably am a.out -> elf switch (tho it's not
mandatary to have elf, capable tools until you want to build 2.1).
You may want to just install a new distribution that has 2.0 in it
(currently slackware is at about 2.1.8 (guessing), Red Hat 4.0 has 2.1.18)
