Are you running klogd? If so, no wonder /proc is busy.

I just tried this too...and the only difference was a did a sync each time
before trying to umount /proc...just in case. No OOPS. This is with
2.0.21 with quota compiled in but not in use.
I wonder if this is another problem like the PPP problems I've heard about
where it seems to be compiler or library dependant? Has anything been
determined as to 2.0.x PPP problems? My 2.0.10 terminal servers are up to
just about 3 months uptime each. Now, they've even more stable than our
Portmaster.
