What is the maximum amount of RAM supported by linux?
What is the maximum address space available to a linux process?

The closest I have been able to get to answer is in the linux FAQ,
which states that you can have at most 16 128mb swap files, for a
maximum of 2gb swap. If you had 2gb RAM, would a linux process then
be able to address a total of 4gb memory?

I will post these answers for inclusion in the linux faq.

Thanks,
Eric
