In recent (2.0.x) kernels, make menuconfig recompiles drivers/sound/
configure every time I change something, and someone posted a patch
to fix it, and I promptly lost the patch. (Figuring it would be in the
next revision. heh.) Anyway, if someone could email me that message
(or hell, just what dependency is causing it, I could probably find
what to change) I would appreciate it.
