I've been having this problem since I added a card based on the
RealTek RTK8029 (PCI NE2000 clone) to my system. I thought it was me
doing something silly, so I've not reported it until now.
This has been with every kernel since v2.0.0 (I'm running v2.0.18).
I'm using modules-2.0.0 and kerneld, but the following happens after
an insmod attempt:
