pctcp compatibility mode ?

hi,

I'm seeing enormous lag from the client-computer here to the linux-server
located in the next building. the client is running the "PCTCP"-stack
from a vendor called "FTP-Software".

has there something changed recently that affects the pctcp-compatibility mode ?
I'm running linux-2.0.17 on the server machine.
