I thought this might be valuable to kernel hackers...
The Intel web site now includes some valuable documentation in
"Adobe Portable Document Format" (PDF):
- Volumes 1-3 of the Pentium Processor manuals
- Volumes 1-3 of the PentiumPro Processor manuals
- Various other Pentium & Pentium Pro docs
- Datasheets on all Pentium & PentiumPro chipsets
except 450GX/KX - last time I looked at least
- Datasheets on the APIC and IOAPIC
- Info on USB
Plus several other docs.
These pages can all be accessed through:
http://www.intel.com/design/
The Intel webmasters have been VERY helpful and cooperative. They converted
and added the Pentium manuals as a response to my feedback request! :-)
If you haven't looked at the Intel website in a long time, then perhaps
it is time for another visit.
P.S. I have no affiliation with Intel whatsoever.
