Hi!

Linux stops booting during IDE detection, before printing the timing
parameters for second hard disk. Version 2.0.8 identifies my IDE
subsystem as following:

ide: buggy CMD640B interface on pci (0x80006000); serialized, secondary port toggled
hda: Conner Peripherals 850MB - CFA850A, 813MB w/256kB Cache, LBA, CHS=826/32/63
Mode and Timing set to PIO4, Readahead is enabled
hdb: QUANTUM FIREBALL1280A, 1222MB w/83kB Cache, LBA, CHS=621/64/63
Mode and Timing set to PIO3, Readahead is enabled
ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14
Partition check:
hda:Started kswapd v 1.4.2.2
hda1 hda2 < hda5 >
hdb: hdb1 hdb2 hdb3 < hdb5 >

I compile all kernels with support for the CMD 640 controller.
