I missed your original message, but if the details you've supplied are correct
and you are in fact using network 10, then you are probably sitting behind a
firewall. (A masquerading one apparently) Is it possible that the firewall
administratively prohibits UDP ?
I think nslookup uses a TCP connection to the nameserver and the name resolver
code uses UDP.
Perhaps this might explain the apparent behaviour?
