SLIP is pretty efficient but the answer is yes at the moment. I have a
driver called psi2 that mostly works how I think god intended it an want
to get merged in. I'm happily doing over 1Mbit/second over a SLIP hack 8)

Use bind*() with SOCK_PACKET
