I just upgraded my system to 2.0.0 and am facing a few problems :(
As I have just recently joined the mailing list, please forgive me if
these problems were already discussed on the list.
1) ping/telnet to LOCAL HOST ( 144.16.64.10 ) says :
Trying 144.16.64.10...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Network is unreachable
talk also fails saying :
[Error on write to talk daemon : Network is unreachable (101)]
2) We are trying to set up MBONE on our campus. I got mrouted ver-3.8
and tried to run it but I get the following error message :
11:31:29.635 mrouted version 3.8
16:07:06.684 can't enable Multicast routing in kernel: Protocol not available
I have attached the login messages where it says that IGMP is enabled
and so is tunneling.
I was advised to upgrade to 2.0.0 when I posted a query yesterday. The
problem persists even after doing so.
ifconfig eth0 says multicast is running :
