This is due to the new route cache in the socket code. The usage count only
shows cache misses (i.e. connects). I guess this an be changed in the kernel
to update the field as one is used in 1.2.x, but this will of course slow
down the IP-layer a few ticks.. hmm.. You can look into rt_cache, there are
some usage numbers, too.
