DEC/Alpha PC - What model is best?

Hi,
Sorry for this slightly off topic query, but I figure that this group may
be the best to ask (for the quickest response).

I may be in a position to get a DEC/Alpha PC (twisting arms now). Of
course, I am pushing (and do have the need) for Digital UNIX and OpenVMS.
Those are (IMO) no brainers. What I want to do, however, is get the best
option for Linux. If you have any specific "avoid" or "get this"
opinions, THEY ARE GREATLY appreciated. Please be as specific (model#,
etc) as possible.
