PS/2 mouse on Linux kernel 1.3.20

Hi,

I have a small!! problem using the PS/2 mouse on a Linux kernel
1.3.20. (InfoMagic April '96)

When I'am moving the mouse a cot a screen filled with stack
information and a kernel panic. The result is that my /home-slice is
corrupted. This problem can't be fixed with fsck or mke2fs ...

The machine is a P133 with a PS/2 Mouse Port Compatible Mouse running
on INT-12.

Can someone help me out, because without a mouse it's hard running
XFree.
