more SIOCADDRT

At the risk of being flamed I ask:-
what causes SIOCADDRT error when tcp tries to "configure_interface eth0
19*.***.***.* this has only happened since 1.3.98 (adding route -net
127.0.0.0 is no help before 10 people suggest it).
Another silly question where do I get the correct library/ies to
compile stuff I keep getting the error "unix.c struct has no member
'd_namelen'" using 2.7.2 I might well not have installed this correctly.
