1.3.99:
compiled with kerneld and modules support, ppp, serial, slhc is compiled
as modules. but not using kerneld, I can't get it to work (it doesn'ty
do anything).
I'm dialed up to a TS that is connected to a ATM network, and plains is
also on that network, and I'm adding a ping here to show that obviously
something is wrong. Sometimes the time will jump up, it never did this
before. the times are also way big. Check below for a 1.3.97 ping.
I notice this easily when just telnetting. It takes 3-4 seconds before
it actually connects(very unusual), and when I type in my username, the
send light on the modem doesn't light up for a least 2 seconds. Using
pine is almost impossible. I used it for a couple of minutes, but I gave
up and rebooted to 1.3.97. Could all of this be cause by the modules?
This is the first time I've gotten them to work, but they seem fine
otherwise.

1.3.97:
comiled as one, not modules or anything. This one works great, and the
networking is the best. Way better than 1.3.85 which was the last
kernel I tried. I do get a little packet-loss here too, but I just did
another ping, and I got 0.
