Occasionally, a file will suddenly show up as truncated on the client.
On other clients and the server it is OK.
On at least one occasion, back in .69, I watched a file grow back from
a 0 length file to it's real length a bit at a time, as reported by a
constant stream of ls(1)s.
I suspect this is related to the anomaly where 'mkdir foo; cd foo; pwd'
fails with the not a directory error.
