I am actually trying to be a bit sneeky and mounting a NetWare volume on
my linux box, and exporting it to a slolaris machine. When I just had
/mnt (the exported directory) in /exports, the slolaris machine mounted
it read-only. When I change the line to
/mnt -access=sun,rw
I find that if I try to mount I get access denied and then showmount
(which worked previously) gives ...
showmount: wombat: RPC: Miscellaneous tli error - An event requires
attention
ie rcp.mountd dies whenever a showmount request is received. When I did
have it mounted I did get periodic Stale NFS file handles but nothing I
can tie down precisely.
Hope this may be of some help to the Linux masters!
