program size

At some point the system began to report sizes that are way to high. Here's
an example (output from procps):

104) ps -auxc
USER PID %CPU %MEM SIZE RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND
root 1 1.4 1.0 131142 340 ? S < 14:45 0:03 init
root 6 0.0 0.8 131104 284 ? S < 14:45 0:00 bdflush
root 7 0.0 0.9 131104 288 ? S < 14:45 0:00 update
root 53 0.0 1.1 131128 348 ? S < 14:46 0:00 /usr/sbin/crond
...

I don't know when it started but these SIZE values are obviously wrong.
