1.3.30: ERROR!!! Zero-length alloc req.

I got a pair of "ERROR!!! Zero-length alloc req." messages today,
although I can't tell you much more than that. (They were sent to the
console, since I have klogd disabled for debugging purposes, and thus
weren't even timestamped. =( )

Nothing appeared in the logs about it, but I figured I'd let you all
know.
(I'm still running 1.3.30 because all later versions have either
failed to compile -- hello, 1.3.33! :> -- or had video-garbage
problems. I keep hoping it goes away with the next release...)
