PPP is not available on this system

For me PPP-2.2-950925 and 1.3.30has been stable. Dropped lines are
handled with grace (i.e., broken phone connections don't produce "the
pppd that wouldn't die") by adding
"lcp-echo-interval 30 lcp-echo-failure 4"

The only problem I've been seeing is the TCP cache problem previously
reported.
