ps shows wrong command line

Kernel 1.3.27, 28, 29 (and possibly others)

Sometimes a "ps" gives me output similar to this

170 pp2 SW 0:00 (bash)

2158 pp1 D 0:01 du -s elf
2177 pp3 R 0:00 ps

i.e. some commands (swapped out ones) show up as
"(agetty)ogin)" instead of the correct "(agetty)" probably somewhere
the trailing \0 is lost... YES, its a security risk (grin)..
no, but its very unpleasant.
