EIP, when starting X

ok, I ran X with openwin, and swiched VT's whilst the Linux XView 3.2
logo on the screen, almost the VT's were dead, they were all black,
including VT 7 (X), the only one that still worked was VT 8, where
basically what goes in to /var/log/messages goes, (direct from syslog),
this, with all the syslog stuff at the start, and it was also in
/var/log/messages :

I gave the three finger salute, and everything shut down properly, (disks
synced, unmounted, and such). setup is: P5 90, PS/2 mouse, EIDE disks,
1.7.0 gcc, kernel as ELF, some ELF programs (init, bash, some others
are). PPP up at the time, and closed down after syslog. If you want to
know more, just ask.
