The system starts up OK with no errors and I can log in as any user other
than root...
If I try to log in as root the console hangs in login. If I su then that process
hangs. If I try to run any program that is suid root that also hangs.
All other users seem OK. There were other process hung too -- crond and atrun
(fairly predictable I suppose).
System is AMD 486DX/40 20Mb Memory, 20Mb swap
CMD EIDE card, MAXTOR & WD hard drives
*nearly* all ELF system -- kernel compiled as ELF.
