message in the subject from the kernel. I use an SMC EtherEZ card on a
486DX2/100 with 32M mem. The machine is connected to a quite highttraffic
network and it mounts the users home directoies and some other directories via
NFS from DEC Ultrix and Solaris 2.3 machines. I use kernel 1.2.13 and the
rsize=8192,wsize=8192 mount options. I do not know which causes this message,
it just appears in my kernlog quote often. The machine load is usually quite
low as the system is still experimental and I'm still installing programs on
it. The base system is Slackware-elf-beta, libc-5.0.9.
Besides these messages I didn't experience any problems (e.g. file corruption).
Should I worry about it or it is just a harmless warning?
An other warning I got from the serial driver:
Warning: dev (4, 64) tty->count(2) != #fd's(3) in release_dev
this happend (I think) when two program (gpm and kermit) tried to use the same
serial line.
I read Linux-kernel-disgest but please send replys directly to me as the digest
is very unreliable recently.
