yep got it. and it's running, it seems to have sorta solved the problem.
telnet is hanging anymore, but when compiling the kernel 1.3.14 with
1.3.14 loaded, three different machines have hung, all different hardware
none of them has done that before(well sorta, not compiling the kernel
anyway) reboot and then they compiled fine, and run fine afterwards,
maybe it needs to be adjusted a little more.
