migration to ELF

I have been attempting for the past few days to migrate to ELF. I am
currently running GCC 2.6.3, etc. I have downloaded GCC 2.7.0, the new
binutils, and the most recent libs. I don't seem to be locating ELF
version of GCC. Could anyone tell me where they are, and if there are any
non-obvious procedures to get ELF functioning? Thanks
