It didn't sounded like you needed an entirely new driver to support to
this, according to what you stated in the commit message at least? Or
maybe this isn't a driver?

In any case, I am not sure I am willing to spend time to review a
patch with 3370 inserted lines, without first getting a better
understanding of what this really is.
