Quite a few #ifdef but I don't see any better way at the moment. Maybe we can
clean this later. Otherwise looks good to me.

@Palmer: This is not on for-next yet and then rv32 is broken. This does not apply immediately on top of for-next though, so if you need a new version, I can do that. But this squashes nicely with the patch it fixes if you prefer.
