Okay, but IS_ENABLED(CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE) on the caller side would
do the trick, I believe.

Could you move these two helpers out of #ifdef CONFIG_HAVE_MOVE_PUD and
make get_old_pmd() and alloc_new_pmd() use them?
