That stinks :-(

The whole blocking and bandwidth inheritance stuff gives me nightmares.
Makes all this stuff almost impossible to analyse.

Esp. if the bus (SPI/I2C) is shared with some other 'expensive' device
like a DSP or MMC flash crud.
