[PATCH 7/16] parport_sunbpp: fix error return code

Return a negative error code on failure.

A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as

To satisfy checkpatch, this patch also changes leading spaces to a tab in
the first changed line, and extracts an assignment from an if condition.
