This make results in

ERROR: "handle_edge_irq" [drivers/gpio/gpio-pch.ko] undefined!
ERROR: "irq_to_desc" [drivers/gpio/gpio-pch.ko] undefined!
make[1]: *** [__modpost] Error 1
make: *** [modules] Error 2

The second failure is simply GIGO.
