Oh, please measure with lockdep (CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING) turned off. No
production kernel has it enabled and it has quite some overhead (as
visible in the profile), skewing results.

I'd also suggest to turn off CONFIG_PREEMPT_DEBUG.
