I build and boot every published kernel and this was the first time
I saw this error. I have NVidia graphics and use their driver.

driver instead to rule out the possibility that the nvidia driver is the
culprit.

The nouveau driver doesn't work for me. But I think that the NVidia driver is not the culprit. I use it always and didn't have such problems.
