agreed - but this would be a VFS fix, Al Cc:-ed. I ran into that
property of the mount string copy myself in the past.

(note, your patches were whitespace damaged - i fixed up the x86 fix by
hand - you might want to resend the VFS one via
Documentation/email-clients.txt.)
